Dental Implants

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth. Precisely placed titanium posts fuse with your jawbone to create a stable foundation for a crown, bridge, or full-arch restoration that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.

Results and how it works

A dental implant is a small, biocompatible post placed in the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Over several months it integrates with the bone in a process called osseointegration, creating a permanent root. A custom-crafted crown is then attached, restoring the appearance and function of the tooth in a way that blends seamlessly with your natural smile.

Benefits of dental implants

Implants preserve the surrounding bone, maintain facial structure, and prevent adjacent teeth from shifting. They restore full chewing strength, eliminate the slipping and discomfort of removable prosthetics, and are cared for like natural teeth with routine brushing and flossing.

All-on-4 full-arch restoration

For patients missing an entire arch of teeth, our All-on-4 approach uses as few as four strategically placed implants to support a fixed, non-removable set of teeth. Learn more on our All-on-X implants page.

Care and recovery

Most patients return to normal activities within a day or two of implant placement. Following your personalized post-operative plan and maintaining a diligent hygiene routine allows your implant to integrate successfully. Once restored, an implant is cared for exactly like a natural tooth.

Failed or failing implants

Occasionally, implants placed elsewhere or years ago may loosen, become infected, or fail to integrate. Our team is experienced in evaluating and, when appropriate, replacing failed implants with a plan tailored to protect your long-term oral health.

What to expect at your consultation

Your consultation includes a comprehensive exam, digital imaging (including 3D CT scans when indicated), and a candid conversation about your goals, timeline, and budget. We walk you through every step so you feel fully informed before treatment begins.

Are you a candidate?

Most healthy adults are candidates for dental implants. Even patients with reduced bone volume can often be treated with modern grafting or full-arch techniques. The best way to know is a personalized evaluation at our Montville office.
